Inga K. Trauthig grew up in the South of Germany as the daughter of a German mother and American father. She received a B.A. in Political Science, Sociology and American Studies from the Julius-Maximilian University in Würzburg. During her undergraduate studies she also spent one year in the US at the University of Texas at Austin where she worked with Professor Terri Givens. Immediately after she earned her Mlitt in Middle Eastern, Central Asian and Caucasus Security Studies from the University of St. Andrews. Throughout the last years she was able to gather work experience at a Human Rights NGO, the German Parliament as well as the Texas Democratic Party. She is now working as a political consultant in Berlin.
