Julia Schuetze grew up in Potsdam, Germany. She received a B.A. in Journalism Studies and Politics from the University of Stirling in Scotland. Her first US experience was the year abroad in Wilmington, NC during her undergrad. After that she worked and lived in D.C., Seattle and Boston. Passionate about international technology policy and with great interest in the intersection of politics, policy and society Julia wrote her BA thesis on cyber security awareness programs with the Office for Information Security in Germany. In summer 2016 she was an Intern at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University researching open access. She is finishing her M.A. in European Studies with Transatlantic Track at University of Bath, UW Seattle and HU Berlin while working for Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. and volunteering as Program Head of Digitalisation and Cybersecurity at Polis180 e.V. in Berlin.
